YSL True Chili & Coral Revolt Slim Matte Lipsticks

True Chili (28)

YSL True Chili (28) Rouge Pur Couture The Slim Matte Lipstick is a darker, orange-leaning copper with warm undertones and a matte finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single stroke, which adhered evenly and smoothly to my lips. The texture was lightweight, smooth, and more velvety, which gave it great glide but it never felt wet or truly emollient. It wore well for over seven hours, left a red stain behind, and felt neither drying nor hydrating over time.

Coral Revolt (29)

YSL Coral Revolt (29) Rouge Pur Couture The Slim Matte Lipstick is a neon pink-leaning coral with subtle, warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. The lipstick yielded nearly opaque color coverage in a single pass, which could be built up, but the texture was a little mushy–like it was velvety and smooth, more like a silicone-based primer than traditional lipstick, but it was soft enough that it left smaller chunks of product if I wasn’t careful. This shade was also more prone to separating around lip lines and catching on slight texture, though it wasn’t as visible in person as it may have seemed by the close-up photo. The color lasted for over six hours, left a stain behind, and felt non-drying.
