YSL Rouge Extravagant (01) Rouge Pur Couture The Slim Matte Lipstick is a bright, medium red with neutral-to-warm undertones and a matte finish. It had the expected velvety-smooth texture that glided across my lips comfortably, but it seemed more likely to “pill” and have slight chunks of product that I had to press and smooth out. It had mostly opaque pigmentation that separated slightly along my deeper lip lines and seemed more likely to emphasize minor texture issues on my lips. This shade stayed on well for over six hours, left a strong stain behind, and felt non-drying.
Peculiar Pink (05)
YSL Peculiar Pink (05) Rouge Pur Couture The Slim Matte Lipstick is a medium-dark burgundy with subtle, cool undertones and a semi-matte finish. After an hour or so of wear, it looked like a true matte finish. The texture was smooth and velvety, which helped it glide comfortably over my lips but it adhered strongly to my lips for extremely long-wear (almost eight hours and a very strong stain after that). It had nearly opaque pigmentation that went on evenly. The formula felt neither drying nor hydrating over time.
