Rouge Ballet (04)
YSL Rouge Ballet (04) Rouge Volupte Shine Oil-in-Stick is a muted, medium red with neutral undertones and a glossy, luminous finish. It had medium color payoff in a single stroke, which applied evenly and smoothly across my lips as the texture was lightweight, emollient, and had a fair amount of slip. The color stayed on well for four hours and felt moisturizing while worn.
Pink Safari (06)
YSL Pink Safari (06) Rouge Volupte Shine Oil-in-Stick is a brighter, medium pink that straddled the line of fuchsia–though it was lighter than true fuchsia–but richer and more vivid than a typical pink–paired with faint pearl and a luminous finish. It had medium pigmentation in a single layer, which was as marketed, that delivered even coverage that was kind to imperfections on my lips. It had a more balm-like, emollient consistency, so it was easy to apply and comfortable to wear but had a smidgen of product that settled into my deeper lip lines. Thankfully, this was only noticeable in the close-up photo and not in person. It lasted nicely for three hours and felt hydrating over time.
Nude Sheer (09)
YSL Nude Sheer (09) Rouge Volupte Shine Oil-in-Stick is a soft, light-medium peach with moderate, warm undertones and a luminous finish. It had medium to semi-opaque color coverage that adhered well to my lips with a smooth, even application of product. The lipstick had a more balm-like consistency, which felt like it melted and became more emollient with high slip as soon as it came into contact with my lips. There was a touch of product that settled into my deeper lip lines, but the high-shine finish camouflaged this in person. It wore well for three hours and felt lightly moisturizing over time.
