Tom Ford Beauty Insolent Rose Eye Color Quad includes one matte shade, two semi-matte shades, and one sparkly shade. The quality was so-so, and obviously at this price point, it has to perform exactly as you want it to–whatever that might be for your personal preferences–but this wasn’t as pigmented nor as easy to work with as marketed.
Insolent Rose #1
Insolent Rose #1 is a very light pink with warmer undertones and subtle, micro-sparkle over a more matte finish. It had medium coverage that was more prone to sheering out as it was lightly powdery, despite being silky and smooth to the touch. There was fading visible after seven hours of wear.
Tom Ford Beauty Insolent Rose #2 Eye Color
Insolent Rose #2
Insolent Rose #2 is a light pink with moderate, warm undertones and a sparkling finish. It had semi-sheer coverage applied dry and more semi-opaque coverage applied with a dampened brush or with a fingertip. The texture was more emollient, so it had good adhesion to bare skin with minimal fallout. It wore well for eight hours with light fallout over time.
Insolent Rose #3
Insolent Rose #3 is a soft, medium pink with warmer undertones and a matte finish. It had a finely-milled, silky consistency that was a smidgen powdery in the pan. The product yielded semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation that applied evenly to bare skin and blended out well. It stayed on nicely for seven and a half hours before fading a bit.
Insolent Rose #4
Insolent Rose #4 is a dirty, medium-dark plum with subtle, warm undertones and a satin sheen. It seemed like it had a bit of a lighter, purplish shift, but the pigmentation was so weak that it was so hard to tell. The texture was smooth and velvety to the touch, so it was finely-milled without being too powdery, but it had a lot of slip, which made it harder to get it to adhere to bare skin or apply evenly. It lasted for six hours before fading visibly.
