Each year, Ultra teases the design of his main stage with a cryptic pattern of emoticons. In 2016, it was double diamonds; in 2017, there were 16 emojis of fireworks. Although these series of emoticons often come close to the actual design, it is often difficult to really express what you want with limited selection.
Just three months away from the 2019 festival, Ultra started making fun of next year's main set. This time, it seems to take some sort of Asian influence, since one of the emojis is representative of a Chinese mahjong tile. The tile bears the familiar name of "red dragon" and means center.
Although this is a remarkable fact, it does not do much to decode a scenography.
Line 1 of Phase 1 for Ultra is also expected shortly, so keep an eye on that. But we are finally seeing the launch of Ultra Music Festival 2019. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available!
