Just a week ago, the Movement festival unveiled a glimpse of what will happen in 2019. As one of the most important house and techno events in the United States, Americans were expecting a lot from them and have kept their promises.
Whenever we put together a list, there are critics, but people have to keep in mind that it is only 10 names. There will be something for everyone after we have the rest! But for now, we know we are going to enjoy the Orbital – Live genre. This show will be their first in Detroit in nearly 20 years and their first participation in Movement. If that alone does not please you, I do not know at all. Orbital’s performance at Movement is the perfect showcase to expose this new generation of electronic music fans to these pioneers of dance music in the UK.
Orbital is not the only one to debut at the festival in 2019. Amelie Lens, Chris Lake, Nobu DJ, Heiko Laux and Stephan Bodzin – live are among the other beginners. After a sold-out concert at the Chicago Spybar in December, Amelie Lens has stormed the dance music scene lately and will undoubtedly have a group of murderers in Detroit. Another interesting addition is the presence of DJ Nobu in the training. Originally from Japan and head of the label Bitta, we can not expect that its underground sound par excellence, but always changing, resonates from the depths of the underground scene.
While being able to catch these incredible national and international names, the real treat is seeing artists perform in their hometown. This teaser gives us alone three of Detroit’s characters – Danny Brown, DJ Bone and Detroit techno legend Robert Hood, playing Floorplan – live.
The three-day and three-day daily subscriptions of the 2019 movement for the AG and VIP are now available for purchase on www.movement.us. Payment plan options are also available.
