The Funk Hunters Celebrate Typecast Anniversary With Remix Album
Westwood Recordings has just dropped an eclectic rework of The Funk Hunters’ full-length debut album Typecast. On the anniversary of the album’s original release, Typecast has been renewed and revived in the form of a 21-track remix compilation. Typecast’s original 11 tracks have been remixed into an energetic arrangement of different styles by nearly two dozen talented artists ranging from drum and bass, deep house, disco, trap, heavy bass, hip hop, and of course a healthy dose of funk. Remixers include Westwood favorites like K+Lab, Defunk, SugarBeats, Woofax, Maddy O’Neal, among others, with more fresh stylings from Buku, Stylust, Ahee, Fort Knox Five, Wick-It the Instigator, and so many more.
