Bugatti announced earlier this month, on 4 April 2022, that the Chiron Super Sport units are currently rolling out of the Molsheim Atelier. The super sports vehicle was originally announced in June 2021, and it was followed by a multi-year development and testing program. The build slots for the car marvel have all been reserved, and there is a lengthy waiting list.
Each carbon fiber surface has been scrutinized to extract maximum performance without compromising. It has been dubbed “the personification of great aerodynamic efficiency”. The derivative’s longtail shape separates it from the rest of the Chiron family. At the same time, the Chiron Super Sport didn’t skimp on elegance and comfort within the interior.
The Chiron Super Sport’s beating heart, a totally upgraded version of Bugatti’s famed 8.0-litre W16 engine, produces 1,600 PS. It can easily hit 440 km/h and is presently the most powerful pure-combustion production vehicle from a legacy company.
Expert experts at the company designed and installed bigger quad-turbochargers, as well as an improved oil pump, cylinder head, and valve train. The super sports car can accelerate from 0 to 124 mph in 5.8 seconds and has an electronically regulated peak speed of 273 mph, making the Chiron Super Sport one of the quickest production vehicles of all time, according to Robb Report.
Bugatti worked extremely hard on the car’s chassis and suspension to achieve perfect stability at high speeds — the steering was altered, the electronically controlled chassis was restored, and stiffer springs were fitted to assure complete stability. “It’s tremendously thrilling to be watching the first client units of the Chiron Super Sport coming together within our Atelier”, said Christophe Piochon, president of Bugatti Automobiles. Hearing fresh new 8.0-liter W16 engines fire up for the first time, knowing that they will soon become the focal point of our clients’ collections all around the world, is a personal delight”.
Bugatti’s Sur Mesure personalization program has given one of the first Chiron Super Sports a special ‘Vagues de Lumière’ paintwork. The design is hand-painted in orange against metallic blue and mimics how lights bounce off the curved surfaces of the Chiron Super Sport. Meanwhile, the interiors are finished in orange leather and accented with aluminum and carbon-fibre trim and accents. Its elaborate and gorgeous design is a true “demonstration of the extent to which clients are able to personalize each Bugatti”.
“The feeling of driving a Chiron Super Sport cannot be compared to anything else the automotive industry has to offer,” Piochon continued, “and we very much look forward to our customers traveling many wonderful kilometers behind the wheel”.
