City Skates x Nychos Beating Heart Sweatshirt
City Skates is a London-based brand working with creatives from all over to create limited edition runs of collectable skatewear. First down the ramp is a collaboration with Austrian street artist Nychos, who has put his anatomical drawings all over this 12-piece drop.
Fred Perry The Specials Stripe Polo Shirt
Celebrating 40 years since British ska band The Specials released their debut album, Fred Perry has produced a mini line of polo shirts designed by long-time collaborators Art Comes First. As a suitable tribute, a portion of the proceeds will go to the 100 Club, an independent music venue that has seen more than its fair share of Specials gigs.
Neighborhood Appliquéd Tote Bag
Tokyo streetwear brand Neighborhood isn’t widely available outside of Japan, but the menswear gods at Mr Porter managed to get their hands on some exclusive pieces for the site’s Japan Edit. This roomy nylon tote is much too nice for your sweaty gym kit, so use it as a stylish way to cart your Christmas shopping around instead.
Omega Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition
We’ve been expecting you, Mr Bond. With the much-anticipated No Time To Die trailer finally dropping this week, 007’s new watch has also been let out of Q Branch (or rather, Omega’s Switzerland HQ). The latest iteration of Bond’s Seamaster is a vintage-inspired wonder powered by Omega’s supremely accurate Co-Axial Master Chronometer 8806 movement. It’s a chunky 42mm, but made from titanium feels light on the wrist. Available on mesh and Nato straps, for our money, this is far more wearable than a tuxedo.
Lee Jeans x Timberland Tech Jeans
Heritage denim brand Lee has teamed up with Timberland for an All-American collaboration replete with archival references. With sustainability in mind, these jeans have been crafted from cotton from the Better Cotton Initiative and layered with a PFC-free water repellent coating – perfect for rainy walks to the pub.
Reiss Retti Long-Sleeved Shirt
If you like shopping but also feel a bit guilty about it, one of the best things you can do to is to buy pieces that you can wear year-round. This wardrobe classic from premium high street retailer Reiss is just that. Wear on its own to festive drinks, layer under a navy jumper on crisp cold days and let it billow open over a white tee when the sun finally comes out.
Palladium x Kenzo Pallashock Boots
It’s ooh la la for this collaboration between two French fashion brands as Palladium’s classic boot gets the Kenzo treatment. Originally designed as outdoors-y footwear in the ‘50s, it’s to the ’90s reissue that Kenzo has looked for this practical (hiking sole, check; padded ankle cuff, check) but handsome shoe.
All Blues Rauk Narrow Ring
Named after rauks, the coastal formations found in Sweden and Norway, this ring from Stockholm jewellery brand All Blues brings new meaning to the term ‘look at this rock.’ Hand-carved from recycled sterling silver, before being coated in 18ct gold vermicelli, it’s a masterclass in how men’s jewellery doesn’t have to be flashy.
Mr P Merino Wool Roll Neck
When it first launched, the in-house label from luxury e-tailer Mr Porter got pulses raising and wallets opening with its effortless offering of easy-to-wear pieces. And just in time for Christmas party season, Mr P has done it again with an eveningwear-focussed drop, which sees shawl collar jackets and tux trousers sit alongside perennial favourites like this fine roll neck jumper.
H&M Corduroy Trousers
Even fast-fashion retailers aren’t immune to an increased appetite for wardrobe staples that will last the distance. H&M Edition has been going for a couple of years now and each season it offers the kind of wardrobe cornerstones that belie their little price tag. We like the versatility of these corduroy trousers, which you can dress up or down.
Gant Beaumont Low Lace Shoes
An increasing number of social engagements + frosty pavements = the requirement for smart, comfortable shoes with a snow-ready sole. These Derbies from Connecticut-founded Stockholm-based brand Gant are real multi-taskers. Formal enough if you get an invite with a dreaded dress code, while the chunky contemporary sole makes them a cool weekend shoe, too.
Goodhood x Soulland Silk Pyjama Shirt
Proving that silk PJs aren’t just for Heff wannabes, East London boutique Goodhood has quite literally hopped into bed with Copenhagen-based brand Soulland for an exclusive collaboration. The limited-edition pyjamas have been designed by American Artists Charlie Roberts as a tribute to Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain who famously wore a heart covered pair to the 1992 MTV Awards. Who said grunge couldn’t be luxurious?
Puma x Ader Error RS 9.8
It’s a hattrick for serial collaborators Puma and Korean streetwear label Ader Error, as the brands release their third joint venture. With retro influences and flashes of bold colour, Puma’s tennis shoe has been given a ’90s-inspired, Seoul-ready makeover with a chunky sole and shaggy suede uppers.
Labrum Spartacus Oversized Shirt
Aiming to tell West African tales through expertly made clothes, Labrum is a London-based brand by Sierra Leone’s Foday Dumbuya. The designer’s AW19 collection celebrates genre-smashing band Osibisa, who were clearly snappy dressers if this oversized shirt is to go by. With a hawk-like attention to detail and commitment to quality, storytime has never looked so good.
Casablanca Aprés Sport Track Jacket
As the co-founder of streetwear label Pigalle, former Virgil Abloh collaborator Charaf Tajer has form when it comes to creating killer menswear. Under his new brand, Casablanca, the French-Moroccan designer turns out laidback luxury in the form of bold printed silk shirts, lounge pants and hoodies. Basically, anything you would want to wear after a workout, or a huge meal.
Carhartt Sierra Cargo Pants
With utilitarianism going strong and ’90s style refusing to die, it’s little wonder cargo trousers are tipped to be big once again for SS20. Stay one step ahead and pick up a pair this winter that will see you through next season, like this cotton twill pair from the workwear pioneers at Carhartt.
Weekday Cole Recycled Puffer Jacket
Swedish high street hero Weekday continues to lead the way with all things sustainable. In addition to its impressive organic cotton range, the brand has an extensive collection of pieces crafted from recycled textiles. This cosy coat, including its padded lining, has been made from 100 per cent recycled polyester.
Topman Ecru Docker Beanie
This classic beanie from Topman is quite literally the first step in wearing head-to-toe neutral tones. Simply add the cream jumper, classic chinos and camel coat that are already in your wardrobe, and you’ve got yourself a very cool, if not very red-wine appropriate, outfit.
Gillette Razor Maker
‘The best a man can get’, means 3D printed handles, apparently. This season, just in time for Christmas, Gillette has brought out a limited-edition collection of razors with handles made by 3D-printers Formlabs. Ice out your bathroom with the Subzero handle or go full magpie with gold.
Champion Script Logo Teddy Hoodie
The ’90s abound in this cosy AF hoodie from heritage sportswear brand Champion, which looks good whether you pair it with an outdoorsy or streetwear look. Alternatively, it’s also pretty good for lounging about on the sofa in when it’s too cold and dark to face the outside world.
