The Best Fall 2020 Hairstyles Spotted in London, Milan and Paris

Before we break down the best Fall 2020 hairstyles from London, Milan and Paris, we need to disclose one important fact. The majority won’t work off the runway. That’s because a majority of hairstylists decided to make models’ manes a central part of the best beauty looks. We’re talking everything from colored strands (and parts) to larger-than-life wigs and extensions.

What are our favorite only-on-the-runway looks?

We love hairstylist Sam McKnight’s colorful feathered parts at Dries Van Noten. Ditto for the silver frosted finger waves at Erdem. Then there were the spray-painted locks at Emilio Pucci. And the contrasting hair extensions over at Rick Owens were crimped for extra volume.

Updos more your thing?

You’ll love the wrapped low chignons at Altuzarra. The Star Wars-inspired braided ‘dos at Fendi were pretty spectacular solo, but those reverse padded headbands made the ‘dos out of this world. Speaking of hair accessories, Christian Dior opted for silky scarves, while black ribbon headbands tied in bows were trending at Giambattista Valli. (Some models even received a little hair bling.)

And that’s just for starters. See below  to relive the best Fall 2020 hairstyles from the three European fashion capitals.

Erdem Fall 2020

Finger waves secured with silver bobby pins are inherently cool. Add in frosted silver strands and the look goes to a whole other level.

Christian Dior Fall 2020

The silk scarves at Christian Dior were a definite mood. Hairstylist extraordinaire Guido Palau smoothed strands for a touch of texture at the ends.

Dries Van Noten Fall 2020

Leave it to hairstylist Sam McKnight to make a statement. He used colorful feathers to highlight models’ parts.

Altuzarra Fall 2020

At Altuzarra, the wrapped low chignons stole the spotlight.

Emilio Pucci Fall 2020

Select manes were spray-painted with neon patterns that really popped as models walked off the runway.

Balmain Fall 2020

Sam McKnight was back in action at Balmain giving models slicked-back strands as an ode to Princess Caroline of Monaco.

Giambattista Valli Fall 2020

While most models were treated to black ribbon headbands with bow toppers, a few also received glittering hair jewels to amp things up even more.

Olivier Theyskens Fall 2020

Hairstylist Eugene Souleiman relied on gel to fashion shiny streaks on models’ strands.

Fendi Fall 2020

The fancy updos had a bit of a Princess Leia vibe at Fendi. Sam McKnight used backward padded headbands to draw attention to the ‘dos.

Max Mara Fall 2020

It was the strategically-placed thin braids wrapped up in cloth at Max Mara that really stood out.

Miu Miu Fall 2020

Some of the long retro wigs at Miu Miu were accented with jeweled hair pins.

Rick Owens Fall 2020

Contrasting crimped extensions in shades of burnt orange, metallic blue and even some softer hues were used to create the look at Rick Owens.

Issey Miyake Fall 2020

Skinny fishtail braids were secured by simple black elastics.

Salvatore Ferragamo Fall 2020
