In an industry where new designers emerge on a daily basis, it is sometimes difficult to stand out as a young designer. However, this is far from the case for London-based, Hong Kong-born designer Robert Wun, who creates “ingenious garments with a sophisticated vision, to inspire independent individuals with original beliefs.”
Since his arrival on the luxury fashion scenes in 2014, Robert Wun has always been known for his fresh proposals and has no fear of trying new styles and fabrics. He believes that the outfits he creates should empower feminine fashion through a modern, bold yet playful interplay between elegance and structural shapes. Think vibrant wearable art in an unrestrained form!
For Robert Wun’s AW20 collection, which can be seen by appointment only for the duration of Paris Fashion Week, the designer took a conceptual approach in a mixture of feminine and daring textures, colours and silhouettes. From the collective silhouettes, it’s obvious that Robert Wun is back to playing with curves and using seam allowances to support the silhouettes.
The collection features flared trenches with detachable sleeves, luxuriously pleated drapes, magical polka dots, an avant-garde play on stripes and checks and so much more ingenuity!
