Revuelto by Lamborghini: Unleashing the Power of V12 in the First-Ever Hybrid HPEV Supercar

The Lamborghini Revuelto is a new hybrid supercar that combines a 6.5-litre V12 engine with three electric motors to produce a total output of 1,200 horsepower. The car can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 2.5 seconds and has a top speed of over 350km/h. The electric motors are powered by a lithium-ion battery pack that can be charged in 30 minutes via an outlet, regenerated through braking, or charged directly from the V12 engine in just under six minutes.

To keep the weight of the battery pack down, Lamborghini has built the Revuelto on a new aeronautics-inspired chassis called the “monofuselage,” which uses multi-technology carbon fibre and forged composites for the front structure. This allows for a 25% increase in torsional stiffness over the Aventador while being 10% lighter.

The Revuelto also boasts a unique and bold exterior design, with sharp angles, scissor doors, and a rocket ship-like rear. The cabin is spacious and technologically advanced, with a fighter jet-style cockpit featuring three digital displays, including a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, an 8.4-inch infotainment screen, and a 9.1-inch display for the passenger. The driver can choose from 13 driving modes using the squared-off steering wheel and infotainment system, including Recharge, Hybrid, and Performance.

Overall, the Revuelto represents a milestone in Lamborghini’s history as the company embarks on a new era of electrification. According to Lamborghini Chairman and CEO Stephan Winkelmann, the Revuelto is “faithful to our DNA” while also being “a unique and innovative car” that balances delivering the emotion that their clients want with the need to reduce emissions.
