Revlon Toasting Glasses, Chocolate Luster, Glistening Purple Melting Glass Shine Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
Toasting Glasses (009)
Revlon Toasting Glasses (009) Super Lustrous Melting Glass Shine Lipstick is a soft, muted plum with warm, brownish undertones and a luminous finish–very faint pearl and lots of shine. The texture was smooth, creamy, and skated easily across my lips as the formula felt like it melted against the warmth of my lips.
It looked more slippery than it felt, though it had moderate slip overall. It had good color payoff in a single layer, which applied evenly to my lips and didn’t emphasize my lip texture. It stayed on nicely for three and a half hours and felt moisturizing while worn.
Chocolate Luster (010)
Revlon Chocolate Luster (010) Super Lustrous Melting Glass Shine Lipstick is a muted, medium brown with subtle, warm undertones and barely-there gold pearl throughout a glossy, cream finish. It had medium coverage, which didn’t build up far beyond that, that did not apply as evenly as other shades in the line-up. In person, the shiny finish distracted from the unevenness, but the shine wore down after an hour or so of wear.
The texture was creamy and felt like it melted on my lips during application, so it was very comfortable to work with but had a fair amount of slip. It wore well for three and a half hours (though the shine wore down after an hour or two) and was hydrating over time.
Glistening Purple (011)
Revlon Glistening Purple (011) Super Lustrous Melting Glass Shine Lipstick is a muted, medium-dark purple-plum with neutral-to-cool undertones and a high-shine finish. It had medium color coverage in a single layer, which didn’t build up beyond that. I think it looked good applied and looked almost like a stain with how seamless it applied, but it wasn’t nearly as pigmented as described.
The texture was smooth, creamy, and melted readily as it was applied to my lips, so it was easy to over-apply (just be aware when applying). This shade lasted well for three and a half hours (though the shine was less noticeable after an hour) and felt moisturizing while worn.
