A Ugandan DJ was reportedly killed by members of the group whereas enjoying a set at a disco corridor. The violence occurred days in the past within the nation’s Akworo Sub-county within the Nebbi District.
According to the report, a mob of offended revelers attacked the DJ, identify Jerry Okirwoth, when he refused to play their favourite music, calling it “boring.” The institution’s administration group has been blamed for failing to guard the DJ.
Nebbi Resident District Commissioner William Bob Labeja addressed the general public regarding the startling act of violence:
As the top of safety within the district, I’ll now not permit any disco operators to conduct their companies within the sub-county and anyone who defies the directive will likely be prosecuted. All disco halls in all sub counties have to be closed as a result of they’re inflicting insecurity and redundancy among the many youth.”
Violence apparently runs rampant within the space. Labeja stated there have been studies of 5 different individuals killed within the district over the previous week.
