Famed Atlanta rapper 21 Savage apparently isn’t from Atlanta in any respect, nor the state of Georgia. According to a number of studies, Sha Yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph has been arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which claims he’s really from the UK.
Much to everybody’s shock, 21 Savage has been “unlawfully present” within the U.S. after overstaying his visa. He reportedly entered the U.S. again in July 2005 and his visa expired the next 12 months. That definitely didn’t cease him from attaining superstardom and placing out a handful of extensively profitable albums.
Dina LaPolt, the legal professional representing 21 Savage revealed to Variety:
“We are working diligently to get Mr. Abraham-Joseph out of detention while we work with authorities to clear up any misunderstanding. Mr. Abraham-Joseph is a role model to the young people in the country — especially in Atlanta, Georgia and is actively working in the community leading programs to help underprivileged youths in financial literacy.”
The rapper faces deportation. Stay tuned for extra particulars.
