Penélope Cruz and Brad Pitt Bring Romance to Chanel’s Iconic Handbag Campaign

At Virginie Viard’s Fall 2024 Chanel showcase during Paris Fashion Week this month, guests were treated to a short film by Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin. Featuring Penélope Cruz and Brad Pitt, the film drew inspiration from a scene in Claude Lelouch’s 1966 French movie “Un Homme et Une Femme”. Interestingly, the film serves as Chanel‘s latest handbag advertising campaign for their iconic flap handbag – the 11.22. Set in the Normandy seaside town of Deauville, which also served as a central theme for Viard’s Fall 2024 collection, Penélope and Brad portray a pair of lovers. The cinematic duo is seen strolling along the beach, driving through the resort, and dining in the hotel’s restaurant, adding charm to the campaign.
