Pat McGrath Flesh 3 LiquiLUST Matte Lipstick is a deep, reddish-brown with subtle, warm undertones and a flat, matte finish. It had rich pigmentation in a single layer of product, though the formula’s consistency made it so a little went a longer way than average. The texture was smooth, fluid, and easy to work with along the edges of my lips. It dried down very quickly and was budge-proof but somewhat flexible, which made it more comfortable to wear. This shade stayed on nicely for over six hours, left a faint stain behind, and felt neither drying nor hydrating over time.
Pat McGrath Elson 4 LiquiLUST Matte Lipstick is a rich, deeper red with cool, blue undertones and a flat, matte finish. It had semi-opaque, buildable color coverage that applied fairly evenly, though as it dried down, it was more prone to emphasizing my natural lip texture. The consistency was fluid, more substantial without feeling heavy, but I found the applicator tended to over-apply product if I wasn’t careful to remove some excess on the edge of the tube when I pulled the applicator out. It wore well for over six hours, left a stain behind, and felt non-drying.
