Pat McGrath Divine Nude & Divine Rose LiquiLUST Matte Lipsticks Review

Divine Nude

Pat McGrath Divine Nude LiquiLUST Matte Lipstick is a soft, rosy mauve with warmer undertones and a mostly matte finish. There seemed to be barely-there pearl that made me second-guess myself, but it appeared in the lip swatch as well as the arm swatch, and it registered later when I tried swatching it again… The consistency was very fluid, which made it easy to apply and spread out over my lips, but there seemed to be a little too much product captured by the doe-foot. It had opaque color payoff that adhered to my lips and dried down quickly, but product did separate along my deeper lip lines as it was drying down. I noticed that it got smoother-looking as the product wore throughout the day–say two hours in–so it had a particularly nice wear down. It lasted well for five hours and felt lightly drying over time.

Divine Rose

Pat McGrath Divine Rose LiquiLUST Matte Lipstick is a medium-dark mauve with neutral-to-warm undertones and a matte finish. It had opaque color coverage in a single layer, which applied evenly and smoothly across my lips but did dry down in such a way that it separated along my lip lines. I’d describe the texture was overly fluid as a result, and I’d use less product than “one swipe,” as less product gave me a slightly better dry down. It wore well for five hours and felt lightly drying over time, but it seemed to look better and smoother–no longer in my lip lines–after a couple of hours of wear.
