Pat McGrath Deep Space Divinity Celestial Odyssey Luxe Quad

Deep Space Divinity

Pat McGrath Deep Space Divinity Celestial Odyssey Luxe Quad is a new, limited edition smokier, neutral quad that included three metallic eyeshadows and one matte eyeshadow. All four shades were pigmented, while the matte needed to be built up slightly and the duochrome shimmer was more emollient so it didn’t apply as easily as the brand’s metallic eyeshadows typically do.

Golden Aurora

Golden Aurora is a medium gold with warmer, more orange undertones and a metallic finish. It had opaque pigmentation in a single layer, though the texture was a little drier and more frosted than most of the brand’s metallics, which resulted in slight fallout during blending. It wore nicely for nine and a half hours before fading a bit.

Rose Nocturne

Rose Nocturne is a deep red with subtle, cool undertones and a matte finish. The eyeshadow had mostly opaque, buildable color coverage paired with a soft, blendable consistency that was finely-milled without being too firmly nor too loosely-pressed into the pan, so fallout wasn’t a concern. It stayed on well for nine hours before fading visibly.

Alien Moon

Alien Moon is a medium-dark, red-based brown base with blue-to-teal shifting pearl that gave it a soft, metallic sheen. The texture was very creamy like with far more slip than most of the brand’s metallic eyeshadows, which seemed to make it apply more thinly. This resulted in a less even application depending on the brush I used, so something a little softer and fluffier actually blended it out better, and if I used it with a dampened brush, it seemed to sheer out noticeably. It had mostly opaque coverage applied in a single layer dry, though. It lasted well for nine hours before creasing on me.

Dawn Fawntasia

Dawn Fantasia is a rich, medium-dark bronze with warmer, more coppery undertones and a sparkling, metallic finish. The texture was soft, more yielding and very pigmented, so I found that the first time I used it, I picked up far too much product (see swatch). I’d recommend using a lighter hand when working with this shade to avoid fallout. It wore well for 10 hours before fading visibly.
