Nike has been at the forefront of technology when it comes to swimwear by designing suits that are performance-driven. Now the mega retailer is releasing a line of modest swim separates so female athletes don’t have to choose between modesty and movement. But this isn’t the first time Nike’s dipped its toe into inclusive swimwear. Back in 2017, the brand launched a performance hijab for competitive swimmers.

“I think a lot of women will be excited for this swimsuit. It’s not just Muslim women. A lot of women are modest as well.” ⠀ Making waves in the Nike Victory Swim Collection, featuring lightweight, full-coverage swimsuits designed to give you freedom of movement in the water.
Called the Victory Swim Collection, Nike’s new head-to-toe gear includes a hijab boasting breathable mesh and a fitted headband, a tunic top with a built-in bra and lightweight swim leggings that won’t slow athletes down. The set basically levels the playing field for Muslim women when it comes to water sports.
The collection will be available online and at select retailers beginning February 1, 2020.
