ColourPop Powerpuff Girls 12-Pan Pressed Powder Shadow Palette is a new, limited edition palette that contained a mix of shimmers, pressed glitters, and matte shades. The mattes out-performed the shimmers, but the shimmers should be workable for those who prefer to use an eyeshadow primer and often use fingertips to apply their shimmer eyeshadows.
ColourPop Townsville Pressed Glitter
Townsville has a transparent base with light, champagne gold glitter particles and a few, more iridescent glitter particles. It was a pressed glitter, so it contained plastic (PET) glitter and is not intended for usage around the eye area. It had medium color coverage paired with a moderately emollient base that helped it adhere well to bare skin and have good spreadability as the glitter particles distributed evenly when blended out. It stayed on decently for seven and a half hours before showing migration.
Professor Utonium is a very light pink with warmer undertones and a pearly sheen. The texture was more emollient in the pan, but it was thin and more firmly-pressed into the pan, which made it more challenging to pick up product with a dry brush. I’d recommend using a dampened brush over a fingertip as a fingertip further compacted the powder. It had mostly opaque, buildable pigmentation that wore nicely for eight hours.
The Mayor is a medium gold with warmer undertones and a metallic finish. The product yielded opaque pigmentation in a single layer, but the consistency was thicker and almost chunky, especially on the lid as it emphasized my lid texture/fine lines. It lasted well for eight hours before fading visibly.
Crime Fighting is a medium, peachy brown with warm undertones and a matte finish. It had rich color coverage with a smooth, moderately powdery texture that applied evenly with light fallout but blended out with ease. It stayed on well for eight hours before fading noticeably.
Pokey Oaks is a muted, medium-dark coral with moderate, warm undertones and a matte finish. The texture was moderately powdery with light fallout during application (even when I took care to avoid it). It had opaque color payoff that wore well for eight hours before fading visibly.
Frenemy is a light, peachy coral with a warm, pinkish base and a lot of warmer, peachy-gold shimmer. It had opaque pigmentation but the texture was slightly firmer and harder to pick up evenly with a brush. It was better applied with a fingertip to ensure the product translated and adhered evenly to the lid. It lasted well for eight hours before fading a bit.
Chemical X is a bright, chartreuse green with moderate, warm undertones and a metallic finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation with a smooth, lightly emollient texture that applied evenly and blended out well. It stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading visibly.
ColourPop Superfriends Pressed Glitter
Superfriends has a transparent base chocked full of smaller particle glitter in lighter blue and iridescent particles. It was a pressed glitter, so it contained plastic (PET) glitter and is not intended for usage around the eye area. The texture was moderately emollient with decent adhesion, which helped the glitter spread evenly on my skin. It had semi-sheer pigmentation that wore decently for seven hours before migrating noticeably.
Girls Rock is a bright, medium-dark coral-orange with strong, warm undertones and a matte finish. It was richly pigmented with a smooth, velvety texture that was a smidgen powdery in the pan but wasn’t prone to fallout or sheering out on my skin. It lasted well for nine hours before fading visibly.
The Fashionistas is a bright, medium pink with subtle, cool undertones and a matte finish. The texture was smooth, blendable, and slightly thin but not in a bad way. It had opaque color coverage that stayed on nicely for eight and a half hours, though it stained slightly.
Silico is a bright, almost pastel lime green with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. It was the type of green that blended out to something warner, more chartreuse, but when applied at higher coverage, was a cooler, more lime green. The texture was somewhat powdery with some tendency to sheer out so I’d recommend applying it over an eyeshadow primer. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation that wore well for seven and a half hours.
Rowdyruff Boys is a bright, cyan blue with strong, cool undertones and faint sparkle over a matte finish. It had mostly opaque, buildable color coverage paired with a soft, blendable texture that was a little powdery in the pan but not prone to sheering out. It lasted nicely for eight hours before fading visibly.
