Natasha Denona Love Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

Love

Natasha Denona Love 15-Pan Small Eyeshadow Palette ($65.00 for 0.67 oz.) is a new, limited edition palette that is in the smaller, more compact 15-pan format, though each shade is still quite large on a per-shade basis (0.044 oz.). I struggled with Dream, which was patchy and harder to blend with visible “dots” of color that seemed to sink into my my skin, and Trust was sheerer, more powdery, and prone to fallout. The remaining shades performed well with semi-opaque to opaque coverage, easy textures to work with, and good longevity.

First

First is a light-medium peach with strong, warm orange undertones and a matte finish. The texture was soft, velvety, and smooth without being too powdery nor too firmly pressed into the pan. It had opaque pigmentation that stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Lifetime

Lifetime is a light-medium orange with strong, warm undertones and flecks of greenish-gold and gold sparkle. The texture felt creamy, but it also was more loosely-pressed, so it applied best with gentle pressing and patting motions or else there was some fallout. It had opaque color payoff that lasted well for eight and a half hours before fading a bit.

Heartbeat

Heartbeat is a muted, medium-dark burgundy with strong, warm undertones and a matte finish. The eyeshadow had rich color coverage in a single layer that was just shy of full opacity. The consistency was soft, blendable, and not too powdery nor too firmly pressed into the pan, so it was easy to work with and wasn’t prone to fallout. It wore well for nine hours before fading visibly on me.

Transparent

Transparent is a light-medium peach with pinker undertones and warmer, golden shimmer and sheen. The texture was smooth to the touch, firmer and slightly dense, so I found that it worked better with slightly fluffy-edged brushes, which helped to diffuse the edge better. It had semi-opaque, buildable color payoff that stayed on well for eight and a half hours before fading noticeably.

Trust

Trust is a muted, medium-dark plum with cooler undertones and a matte finish. It had medium coverage that was buildable to semi-opaque coverage with a second layer, but there was some fallout due to the more powdery, drier texture. While purple-leaning shades are known to be harder to formulate, I was surprised at how powdery it was compared to the other shades in the palette. It blended out without too much effort, though. There was light fading apparent after eight hours of wear.

Natasha Denona Heart Creamy Matte Eye Shadow

Heart

Heart is a medium-dark red with neutral-to-cool undertones and a matte finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single layer, which was easily built up to full coverage. The texture was smooth, velvety, and substantial without being too thick or too powdery, so it blended out easily but retained its opacity on my skin. It wore nicely for nine hours before fading a bit, and I didn’t notice much in the way of staining after removal.

Natasha Denona Giving Duo-Chrome Eyeshadow

Giving

Giving is a brighter, peachy-coral base with flecks of pink-to-violet shifting sparkle that gave it a more sparkling, metallic finish. It was intensely pigmented with a soft, slightly more loosely-pressed texture (so I’d use a lighter hand to avoid excess kicked up in the pan) that yielded a touch of fallout during application. It stayed on well for eight and a half hours before I noticed fading.

Pure Love

Pure Love is a brighter, medium plum with subtle, warm undertones and cooler, pink-to-violet shimmer throughout. It had an incredibly smooth, lightly creamy texture that was rich and luxe to the touch, which made it a dream to work with. The eyeshadow had opaque pigmentation that lasted well for eight and a half hours before creasing faintly.

Natasha Denona Commitment Cream-Powder Eye Shadow

Commitment

Commitment is a deep burgundy with subtle, warm undertones and a satin finish. It was more of a hybrid cream-powder formula, so it was dense and more firmly-pressed into the pan. It worked best with synthetic brushes to achieve good coverage that was buildable to full pigmentation, though I ultimately applied with a goat hair, fluffy crease brush for a more diffused effect without issue. It showed signs of fading after nine hours of wear.

Natasha Denona Blind Metallic Eye Shadow

Blind

Blind is a bright, light-medium pewter with subtle, warm undertones and a metallic sheen. It had opaque color coverage with a smooth, lightly creamy, denser texture that was easy to pick up and to apply to bare skin. The color stayed on nicely for eight and a half hours before fading visibly on me.

Soul

Soul is a dusty, darker pink-coral with warm undertones and a matte finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation that was buildable to full coverage with less than half of a layer. The texture was slightly drier and thinner compared to the other mattes, though it applied evenly and blended out with little effort. It lasted well for eight and a half hours before I noticed fading.

Natasha Denona Passion Crystal Eye Shadow

Passion

Passion is a deeper, reddish-plum with moderate, warm undertones and flecks of plum and gold micro-sparkle over a more pearly sheen. The texture was denser, lightly creamy but more firmly-pressed into the pan. I didn’t have any issues picking up product with my brush, but I’d recommend using a slightly denser, flatter brush to apply and lay down the product evenly. It stayed on nicely for eight and a half hours before showing signs of fading.

Intense

Intense is a brighter, medium-dark pink with moderate, warm undertones and a matte finish. The texture was smooth to the touch, velvety without being too powdery, and blendable on my skin. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single layer, which lasted well for eight and a half hours before fading was visible.

Valentine

Valentine is a light-medium pink with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation with a smooth, lightly velvety texture that wasn’t too powdery nor too firmly pressed into the pan. It wore well for eight hours before fading a touch.

Dream

Dream is a lighter purple with subtle, cool undertones and a mostly matte finish. The texture felt lightly creamy to the touch–like a cream-powder hybrid–but it was more like a powder once it came into contact with my skin. I had difficulty really diffusing and spreading this shade out evenly, though. Functionally, it worked better applied to the lid or in a more opaque, less-blended capacity as it looked somewhat patchy and “sank” into my pores (little visible dots of deeper color) that just would not even out. It stayed on well for nine hours before fading noticeably.
