Natasha Denona Bronze Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches
Bronze
Natasha Denona Bronze 15-Pan Small Eyeshadow Palette is a new, seemingly-permanent warm-toned palette that includes five matte shades, one satin shade, and nine more metallic shades. The metallics felt slightly creamier and richer (in texture) compared to recent releases (though not as emollient as the original formula, which is a good thing with respect to longevity!), while the mattes have a more velvety, substantial texture that ensures greater color payoff with minimal fallout but still keeps the formula blendable.
From a quality standpoint, it’s one of the brand’s best palettes. While working with it, I felt like my looks tended to end up looking more similar than not; whenever I work with a larger palette, like this one, I try to showcase at least two different looks to see how versatile the color story is. I think that it is a deeper, darker color story that will be particularly lovely on medium and deeper skin tones. I found it paired well with the brand’s Metropolis palette to extend its color story and give it more contrast.
True Copper (305M)
True Copper (305M) is a medium-dark copper with moderate, warm orange undertones and a sparkling, metallic finish. The eyeshadow had rich color coverage in one layer, which adhered evenly to bare skin and blended out easily along the edges. The consistency felt smooth, dense, and lightly creamy without being too thick or too firmly-pressed into the pan. It stayed on nicely for nine hours before fading visibly.
Natasha Denona Suntan (306CM) Creamy Matte Eye Shadow
Suntan (306CM)
Suntan (306CM) is a medium brown with moderate, warm red undertones and a matte finish. The texture felt smooth, velvety, and had a touch of powderiness in the pan, but it wasn’t a problem during application as it yielded rich coverage in a single layer that wasn’t prone to fallout nor sheering out too easily. This shade wore well for nine hours before showing signs of fading.
Natasha Denona Sundown (307CM) Creamy Matte Eye Shadow
Sundown (307CM)
Sundown (307CM) is a muted, medium-dark orange with moderate, warm undertones and a matte finish. The eyeshadow had excellent pigmentation in a single layer, which applied well to bare skin as the color went on evenly, blended out with ease along the edges, and wasn’t prone to fallout. It lasted well for nine hours before fading noticeably.
Natasha Denona Deep Dive (308CP) Cream-Powder Eye Shadow
Deep Dive (308CP)
Deep Dive (308CP) is a deep burgundy with warm undertones and a satin finish. It was a cream-powder finish, so it had a more emollient quality to it by touch, though it behaved more like a richer, creamier powder formula when applied to the lid. I’d recommend using a slightly denser, more dome-shaped brush (almost like an oversized pencil brush) to deposit color evenly for working in the crease or on the outer lid/v area. It had opaque color coverage that applied evenly and blended out well along the edges. The color stayed on nicely for 10 hours before fading visibly.
Rhodium (309DC)
Rhodium (309DC) is a medium-dark purple with strong, warm undertones and cooler, blue-to-violet shifting pearl. The consistency felt more firmly pressed into the pan with a thinness compared to other metallics in the palette, which felt creamier and richer to the touch. It had nearly opaque color coverage that could be built up to full coverage with a second layer. It wore well for nine hours before fading noticeably.
Natasha Denona Magma (310CM) Creamy Matte Eye Shadow
Magma (310CM)
Magma (310CM) is a deep, reddish-brown with neutral-to-warm undertones and a matte finish. The eyeshadow yielded rich pigmentation that applied well to bare skin as the color went on evenly, wasn’t prone to sheering out too readily, and blended out with ease along the edge. The texture felt velvety, smooth, and was just a smidgen powdery in the pan but didn’t seem prone to fallout. This shade lasted nicely for nine hours before fading slightly.
Natasha Denona High Degree (311M) Metallic Eye Shadow
High Degree (311M)
High Degree (311M) is a deep, reddish-copper with subtle, warm undertones and flecks of pink and gold pearl over a metallic sheen. It had a smoother, more reflective sheen compared to most shades in the palette, which were more sparkling and intensely metallic. It had opaque pigmentation that applied evenly to my lid and blended out nicely along the edges. The texture was lightly creamy, dense but not overly firm, and easy to work with. It stayed on well for nine and a half hours before fading a bit.
Alloy (312DC)
Alloy (312DC) is a bright, light-medium orange-copper with strong, warm undertones and a sparkling, metallic finish. The texture was smooth, moderately creamy–creamier than recent metallics but not quite as creamy as the original formula. It had rich color coverage in a single layer, which adhered well to bare skin with a smooth, even lay down of product. It wore well for nine hours before fading visibly.
Natasha Denona Ridge (313CM) Creamy Matte Eye Shadow
Ridge (313CM)
Ridge (313CM) is a rich, lighter brown with strong, warm yellow undertones and a matte finish. The eyeshadow was intensely pigmented with a smooth, velvety consistency that was blendable without being prone to sheering out or dropping fallout during application. There were signs of fading present after nine hours of wear.
True Bronze (314K)
True Bronze (314K) is a light-medium copper with strong, warm golden undertones and a sparkling, metallic finish. The color payoff was opaque in a single layer, which applied evenly to bare skin and blended out nicely along the edges. The texture was creamy, dense without being heavy or thick, and easy to work with. It stayed on well for nine hours before fading a bit.
Gloaming (315DC)
Gloaming (315DC) is a deep, almost rusty coral with warm undertones and a contrasting, golden shimmer that gave it a metallic finish. The texture was smooth, lightly creamy, and dense without being overly firm in the pan or too thick. It applied well to bare skin and diffused with ease along the edges. This shade wore nicely for nine hours before showing signs of fading.
Natasha Denona Palladium (316M) Metallic Eye Shadow
Palladium (316M)
Palladium (316M) is a bright, medium bronze with warmer, golden undertones and a metallic sheen. It was the “cooler” bronze in the palette, though not genuinely cool-toned! The texture felt smooth, lightly creamy, and dense to the touch but picked up well with a dry brush and adhered well to bare skin. It had rich color coverage that stayed on well for nine hours before fading visibly.
Bliss (317DC)
Bliss (317DC) is a brighter, medium-dark pink-coral base with warmer, greenish-gold shifting shimmer that gave it a metallic finish. It had good pigmentation in a single layer, though I felt like it needed to be built up or applied with a fingertip to achieve opaque coverage in one layer. The texture was smooth, lightly creamy, and dense without being too firmly-pressed or too thick in consistency. It wore lasted well for nine hours before creasing faintly.
Natasha Denona Silk (318M) Metallic Eye Shadow
Silk (318M)
Silk (318M) is a bright, light-medium copper with strong,w arm undertones and a sparkling, metallic finish. The consistency was soft, more loosely-pressed in the pan compared to other metallics in the palette, so it applied best by pressing and patting it into place rather than sweeping (which yielded some fallout). It had opaque pigmentation that wore well for nine hours before fading noticeably.
Natasha Denona Beach (319CM) Creamy Matte Eye Shadow
Beach (319CM)
Beach (319CM) is a medium-dark peach with strong, warm undertones and a matte finish. It applied a couple of shades darker than it appeared in the pan for reference. The texture was smooth, velvety, and lightly powdery with minimal fallout during application. It had opaque color coverage that stayed on nicely for eight and a half hours before fading a bit.
