MAC Drank the Love Potion, Frantic Romantic, Mocha Swirl Lipglasses
Drank the Love Potion
MAC Drank the Love Potion Lipglass is a muted, medium-dark red with cooler undertones and a smattering of fuchsia and pink pearl throughout a more cream-like finish. It had semi-opaque color payoff that applied evenly but settled into my lip lines enough to be noticeable in person (despite having a very high-shine finish). The texture was smooth, moderately tacky, and a little thicker, which made it longer-wearing but may feel heavy for those who aren’t familiar with the formula (which is known for its tackiness). It wore well for six hours and felt hydrating while worn.
Frantic Romantic
MAC Frantic Romantic Lipglass is a darker, orange-peach base with green-to-gold shifting pearl and lots of it. It had semi-sheer to medium coverage (more from shimmer than the base color) that applied evenly and smoothly across my lips, and the consistency was thicker that it helped to soften most of my lip lines. This is a tackier formula, which can feel heavier for those used to more typical, non-tacky glosses, but this was longer-wearing at five hours and very moisturizing to wear. MAC’s Lipglass has always–in reality–varied a lot in pigmentation from shade to shade, but they describe the formula as pigmented and rarely indicate sheerness by shade, unfortunately.
Mocha Swirl
MAC Mocha Swirl Lipglass is a medium, yellowy peach with warm undertones and lots of finer, champagne shimmer and larger flecks of pink and gold micro-sparkle. It had medium color coverage with a milkier base that was prone to settling into my lip lines noticeably. The consistency was moderately thick and quite tacky, but it had a high-shine finish that was longer-wearing than most glosses would be. It stayed on well for five hours and was hydrating over time. MAC’s Lipglass has always–in reality–varied a lot in pigmentation from shade to shade, but they describe the formula as pigmented and rarely indicate sheerness by shade, unfortunately.
