Gucci’s first quarter of 2022 has been nothing less of thrilling and amazing. The Italian fashion brand has launched its second chapter with The North Face, ventured into the metaverse with ultra-limited NFTs in collaboration with Superplastic, and inaugurated its fourth Gucci Osteria restaurant in Seoul.

In celebration of 50 years of Gucci Swiss Timepieces, the luxury company also presented the widely renowned Gucci Love Parade campaign and produced its second High Watchmaking line. More excitingly, at Milan Design Week, the fashion company presented the spectacular Exquisite Gucci fashion show, confirming its partnership with premier sportswear brand Adidas.

Alessandro Michele, the creative director, has once again demonstrated that his visions and ingenuity have no limitations. Michele, in particular, expands on Gucci’s unique look and prepares for the ideal balance of sports and luxury.

Gucci’s most recent collaboration is with Major League Baseball, which will be released on April 22. Gucci’s Vault, the brand’s experimental online concept shop that started last year, will be the only retailer of the collection.

The luxury company teases followers with recent Instagram pictures leading up to the debut. Gucci’s models are photographed and dressed up in the brand’s hallmarks while ‘dropping’ the garments, in addition to showcasing some chosen pieces from the certainly desired collection.

The collection will include men’s and women’s ready-to-wear and accessories, and will be inspired by Michele’s New York Yankees baseball cap. There will be tailored and sportswear-inspired outfits as well.

MLB franchise logos cover raised varsity jackets and plush hooded coats, ranging from the New York Yankees to the Los Angeles Angels and San Francisco Giants. Co-branded headwear are embellished with fun materials like snakeskin and green sherpa for a sleek, athletic surprise.

The premium fashion house’s collaboration with MLB began with its fall/winter 2018 presentation, which was followed by a limited-edition Yankee capsule collection in 2019.
