GOAT, an online fashion and shoes resale site, has announced a collaboration with football club Paris Saint-Germain. This new partnership will see the latter become the club’s new official sleeve partner, as well as promote GOAT’s premium platform to a new generation of fashion and football enthusiasts. GOAT will join the team as an Official Partner for the remainder of the current season before becoming a Principal Partner in July 2022. The GOAT logo will be emblazoned on the club’s performance clothing, including training gear and on-pitch match wear.
This implies that in the next months, players like Neymar, Kylian Mbappè, and Lionel Messi will be seen wearing the new shirt. The GOAT branding can also be seen in the club’s Le Parc des Princes stadium, in addition to being printed on the left sleeves. To mark the occasion, the two have put together a collection of merchandise, which can be accessed on the GOAT app with other PSG-branded lifestyle items.
While the relationship is primarily focused on providing fans with luxury things, it also intends to generate content that will strengthen each brand’s worldwide footprints by using the respective main target demographic.
“We are thrilled to welcome GOAT into the Paris Saint-Germain family with this partnership, which will see them join the exclusive roster of club partners featured on our iconic jerseys,” said Marc Armstrong, Paris Saint-Chief Germain’s Partnerships Officer. “GOAT is an excellent match for the club and strengthens our position as a worldwide sports and lifestyle icon for supporters across the world.” We’ll work together to create new and interesting ways to interact with supporters all across the world.”
“We’re pleased to work with Paris Saint-Germain as we continue to develop our worldwide community,” said Eddy Lu, Co-Founder and CEO of GOAT Group. “Not only are we bringing together two premier lifestyle brands, but we’re also bringing together a global community of athletes, creatives, and fans.” With new partnerships in the months and years ahead, our alliance plays to each other’s strengths.”
