A dedicated client event was held this month in Italy’s iconic capital of Rome by Meranello’s luxury sports car manufacturer, Ferrari. It was there that the brand unveiled its much awaited, Ferrari Roma La Nuova Dolce Vita.
The new timeless design, mid-front-engined 2+ coupé features refined proportions with an unparalleled performance, responsiveness and handling. Representing the pinnacle of its category’s performance, the coupé utilizes the four-time award-winning turbo-charged V8 which ascends 620cv at 7500rpm. Coupled with the new and improved 8-speed DCT gearbox, initially introduced on the SF90 Stradale, the Ferrari Roma’s distinctive flair and style is a contemporary representation of Rome’s pleasurably carefree way of life in the 1950’s and 60’s. With a top speed of 320km/h, the Ferrari Roma jumps 0-100km/h in 3.4s and 0-200km/h in 9.3s.
Reaping the benefits of Ferrari’s new generation modular technology, the Roma’s bodyshell and chassis are redesigned to incorporate the latest weight reduction and advanced production technologies. With over 70% of new components, the Ferrari Roma features the best weight/power ratio in its segment at 2.37kg/cv.
In a new formal approach to interior design, Ferrari also showcases an evolution of the Dual Cockpit concept, featuring two driver and passenger safety cells – where functions and surfaces are organically and symmetrically distributed in the cockpit, allowing active passenger involvement in every drive. Offering clients a sense of finesse and refinement, the Roma makes Ferrari’s fifth launch of the year, following the F8 Spider and 812 GTS – two of the brand’s most powerful productions currently on the market with 720-1000 horsepower, reaching speeds of 211 miles per hour, plus a plug-in hybrid design. These launches are part of Ferrari’s year-long plan to capitalize on sales, deliveries and profits.
