In August, Eric Clapton revealed that he was working on an EDM-inspired version of "Jingle Bells" that was to be published – and that it would be dedicated to Avicii .
Flash-forward to now and 'it's the season of holiday music. Clapton's full album, Happy Xmas, came with his rendition of "Jingle Bells". It's an interesting title, to say the least. There are clear versions and versions that look like the EDM structure, but with the guitar and other instrumental rockstar, this seems more appropriate for a jam group.
According to Billboard, the title was originally called "Jingle Bells (in memory of Avicii)". It seems he dropped part of the title to take the more traditional path. Anyway, Clapton shows his appreciation of the genre and it's great to hear.
