Miele’s recipe for the classic Espresso Martini cocktail is easy to prepare and uses freshly brewed espresso for maximum flavour and that all important crema. Best served after dinner, Tia Maria or Kahlua can be used with Tia Maria slightly less sweet than Kahlua.
A handful of ice cubes
30ml good quality vodka
30ml Tia Maria or Kahlua
One espresso shot or 35ml of fresh espresso coffee
1. Place your martini glasses in the freezer for at least 15 minutes before serving.
2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes, add the espresso shot, vodka and the Tia Maria or Kahlua. Shake well for around 15-30 seconds.
3. Pour into a cocktail glass, garnish with coffee beans and serve immediately.
