Don’t Get Too Close By Skrillex, Featuring Bibi Bourelly And Sonny Moore
Skrillex officially revealed the release date of Quest For Fire, one of his two albums this year, two days ago. QFF, which drops this Friday, February 17, has collaborations with Pete Wents, Porter Robinson, Joker, Pete Wentz, Missy Elliott & Mr. Oizo, and more.
However, last week, for the first week of the year since he unleashed “Rumble,” there was no new tune. So, ahead of the QFF album’s release this Friday, he’s released the latest DGTC song, “Don’t Get Too Close,” featuring Bibi Bourelly (who also appears on QFF’s “Still Here (With The Ones That I Came With),” this morning. This is most likely the album’s title track.
The new song is quite whimsical, featuring spoken word singing from both Bibi and one of Sonny’s first vocal performances since releasing “Surrender” with From First To Last in 2017. Same feel as “Raconte-Moi Une Histoire” from M83’s legendary album Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming.
