Banana + Almond oil
Things needed: Banana (depending on the fullness of your hair), 2 tbsp. of almond oil.
Process: Begin by dicing the banana into tiny chunks before mashing. Next, mix in the 2 tbsp. of almond oil. You can use a blender for a smother blend. Once the mixture is ready, apply evenly through your hair. Of course, remember to also massage your scalp with the mixture using your finger tips. Finally, let it sit for 10-15mins before rinsing with warm water.
Coconut Milk + Honey
You’ll need: 1/2 cup of coconut milk, 3 tbsp. of honey.
Process: In a bowl, mix your coconut milk and honey together. You can also use a blender for smooth consistency. Afterwards, apply mixture to your hair from root to tips. This should sit for 15 minutes, then proceed to rinse with lukewarm water. In addition, shampoo and condition your hair as you would usually do.
Egg yolk + Lemon
This hair mask is great for correcting split ends, while you feed your hair with rich protein that’s good for it. You’ll need: 1 egg yolk, 2 tbsp. olive oil, and a fresh lemon.
Process: In a bowl containing your egg yolk, mix in your olive oil and fresh lemon juice. Next, combine into smooth mixture and apply onto hair. Allow to sit for 15-20 minutes before rinsing with cool water. Emphasis on the cool water as you don’t intend to cook the egg.
Avocado + Mayonnaise
This method acts as a deep conditioner. You’ll be needing: 1 avocado, 3 tbsp. of mayonnaise.
Procedure: After slicing your avocado, put the flesh into a mixing bowl. Follow with the mayo and mix until smooth. Thereafter, apply to your hair and wear a shower cap afterwards. You can also wrap hair in a damp towel if you don’t have a shower cap. Allow the mask to sit on your hair for 20 minutes. Then, rinse with warm water followed by shampooing and conditioning the hair.
