This is because most people already have the ingredients lying round in their kitchens and it’s so easy to whip up together. Plus you get done in no time. So, before dashing out this weekend for your errands, spend a few minutes treating your hair to something special using DIY hair masks. Honey, Egg And Apple Cider Vinegar

Great for: Dry hair. This mixture is a great hydrating treatment that gives shine and nourishes the hair without weighing the strands down. Mix 1 teaspoon of honey, 1 egg and 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in a small bowl. After which you apply onto your scalp. Allow to sit for 30-40 minutes before rinsing. This mixture is great for all hair types.
Coconut Oil, Sugar And Essential oil
Great for: Flaky scalp. Flaky scalp occurs as a result of irritated and oily skin as seborrheic dermatitis make skin cells accumulate, hence creating flakes and itching. However, using exfoliating treatment helps get rid of those dead skin cells. Mix 2 tablespoons of raw unrefined coconut oil, 4 teaspoons of raw sugar, 5 drops of any essential oil into a bowl. Next, apply evenly to your scalp and let it sit on your hair for 15-20 minutes. Then rinse with warm water.
Avocado, Egg, Honey And Olive Oil

Great for: Damaged hair. This mixture provides the ultimate treatment your hair needs to gain strength and shine. It’s also full of antioxidants which help fight off free radicals. Mix half avocado, 1 egg, 1 tablespoon of honey and olive oil in a bowl. Then, apply on wet hair with your fingertips and cover your hair with a shower cap. Follow that with a 10minute blow drying session while hair is still covered. After which, leave for 20 minutes and wash out with warm water.
Cinnamon And Coconut Oil
Great for: Hair that won’t grow. Cinnamon is an anti-microbial spice that stimulates blood circulation and promotes hair growth and strength. Blend an equal part of cinnamon and coconut oil together and let to rest in a bowl. Proceed to apply the mixture to your roots while massaging into the scalp. Let it sit for 30-45 minutes and rinse. Do this once a week.
Green Tea, Apple Cider Vinegar And Peppermint Oil
Great for: Irritated scalp. Green tea contains antioxidants that help calm and rebalance an irritated scalp. Mix 1 cup of green tea, 2 drops of peppermint oil, 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar well in a bowl. Follow that with a massage session. That is to say, massage the mixture into your scalp and let it sit for at least 5 minutes. Finally, rinse with warm water.
