Peach Delight (007)

Dior Peach Delight (007) DiorSkin Nude Luminizer ($48.00 for 0.21 oz.) is a light-medium, peachy coral with warm undertones and a sparkling, golden sheen. If you’re someone who loves sparkle in their highlighters, keep reading, but if you abhor sparkle and glitter, you’ll want to keep your eyes on the original set of shades in this formula. This limited edition version is much, much more sparkly (while still having a fair amount of shine and overall glow) paired with good pigmentation that was buildable to full coverage with less than half of a layer more. The texture was smooth to the touch, but it had the baked gelee-like consistency that works best with denser brushes. The powder applied evenly and blended out with hardly any effort on my cheeks. It wore well for eight and a half hours on me before fading noticeably.

Becca Beach Nectar (LE, $38.00) is more shimmery, darker, cooler (95% similar).Becca Smoky Quartz (LE, $38.00) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar).Urban Decay NSFW (LE, $26.00) is lighter (90% similar).Becca Coral Crystal (LE, $38.00) is more shimmery, warmer (90% similar).NYX Magnetic (P, $9.00) is lighter (90% similar).Milani Flashing Lights (P, $12.99) is less shimmery, lighter (90% similar).Maybelline Molten Peach (P, $9.99) is more shimmery (90% similar).Colour Pop Aura Voir (P, $7.00) is more shimmery, darker, warmer (90% similar).LORAC Sunlight (LE, $23.00) is more shimmery, warmer (90% similar).YSL Rose Or (P, $42.00) is less shimmery, more muted (90% similar).

Formula Overview

$48.00/0.21 oz. – $228.57 Per Ounce

It’s a new line of powder highlighters that are supposed to give the “face a multidimensional glow” with a “high concentration of shimmering pigments.” It’s an update on their previous Luminizers but with lighter-weight packaging (and no included brush, which wasn’t anything to write home about anyway!) and a lower price. The ingredient list seemed to be the same, and by touch, they seemed to be nearly the same–I felt like the updated version seemed a smidgen drier/more firmly pressed but it was barely noticeable and a couple were a little lighter/darker swatched but may simply have reflected more or less light in the particular shot as there was little difference on my skin. They had medium to opaque color coverage that applied well, lasted for eight hours, and blended out easily. The texture was denser, smooth to the touch, but firmer (so no powderiness) but require a moderately dense brush and/or medium hand to pick up product.

We hope you’ll consider supporting Temptalia. Thanks!
