Dior Jungle (579) Eyeshadow Palette
Jungle (579)
Dior Jungle (579) 5 Couleurs Couture Eyeshadow Palette is a new, earthy color story featuring three metallic eyeshadows, one satin eyeshadow, and one matte eyeshadow. The five shades complemented each other, and they were high quality: pigmented, blendable, finely-milled, and long-wearing.
Jungle #1
Jungle #1 is a rich, coppery brown with warm undertones and a bright, metallic finish. It had intense pigmentation with a creamy, smooth consistency that was dense without being overly firm or thick. The eyeshadow applied well to bare skin with good adhesion and blended out readily along the edges. It wore well for eight and a half hours before fading noticeably.
Jungle #2
Jungle #2 is a light gold with moderate, warm undertones and an intense, metallic finish. It had rich color coverage in a single layer, which applied evenly to bare skin and blended out well along the edges. The consistency felt smooth, soft, and yielding while being a denser and creamier formula. It stayed on nicely for eight and a half hours before showing signs of fading.
Jungle #3
Jungle #3 is a muted, medium-dark taupe-brown with subtle, warmer undertones and a satin finish. It had opaque color payoff with a soft, blendable consistency that wasn’t too firmly nor too softly pressed into the pan. I had no trouble applying the product to bare skin and blending it out for an even result. It lasted well for eight hours before fading a bit.
Jungle #4
Jungle #4 is a brighter, light yellow-green with warmer, more olive undertones and flecks of pink sparkle paired with a metallic finish. The texture was dense, lightly creamy, and slightly thicker compared to the other shimmers in the palette, but it wasn’t heavy or difficult to pick up with a dry brush.
I think that thickness helped to keep the sparkles from falling out over time. It wore nicely for eight and a half hours before fading visibly.
Jungle #5
Jungle #5 is a blackened forest green with neutral-to-cool undertones and a matte finish. The eyeshadow had excellent pigmentation with a soft, blendable texture that was a smidgen dusty in the pan but didn’t have fallout during application nor did it sheer out too readily. It stayed on well for eight and a half hours before fading noticeably.
