The Sunreef 80 was the largest sailing yacht of the Cannes Film Festival, but until you board the yacht, it's hard to imagine how spacious this luxury sailboat is: 340m² of living space make it an absolute spectacle!
Sunreef 80 launched at the Cannes Sailing Festival
One of the many strengths of the new Sunreef 80 is its huge main deck, which offers many customization options. The yacht has panoramic windows overlooking fabulous sea views, and minimalist interiors in teak, sintered quartz and metallic accents lend a contemporary and refined look that is both soothing and peaceful.
The flybridge has an open-air dining room and a large section of sun loungers where guests can sunbathe after a long luxury lunch. The twin helm stations provide excellent visibility to the captain, facilitating docking and maneuvering – and there is another helm station, located below, with independent access for the crew.
Then there is another large dining room located on the port side of the main deck, with many seats around the table. On the right side, there is a deep sofa with fully folding backs that provides an ideal setting for reading and afternoons. after this long lunch. Towards the bow, a custom built island cabinet hides a retractable television and a large wine cooler to add to the fun.
The Sunreef 80 has several layout options. The first unit has a spacious four-cabin plan with a truly spectacular master suite in the starboard hull. This includes a massive bed, a desk and a sofa, as well as a walk-in closet hidden behind a cleverly positioned partition. The interior design of the owner's suite, which occupies most of the starboard hull, is both relaxing and elegant.
The subdued color helps accentuate the large cross windows that give the room a natural light and a magnificent view of the sea. The large bathroom with minimalist and monochromatic design, combining teak and quartz, completes the suite . The harbor hull houses the quarters of the kitchen and crew, as well as two huge guest cabins reflecting the style of the master suite with leather details and an extremely balanced mix of dark blue tones and metallic gray. With plenty of storage and a smart layout, the galley is directly accessible from the crew cabin.
The main deck opens on both the front deck and the aft cockpit: this is how the new Sunreef 80 "invites the outside to enter". The interior and exterior spaces of the yacht are in perfect harmony. The aft cockpit is a completely flush surface, with movable furniture and a hydraulic rear deck widening the relaxation space to the absolute maximum when launching the dinghy. If you need a dance floor, a yoga room or a conference venue, you can easily rearrange the main deck for any occasion.
With direct access from the living room, the comfortable arched terrace is well protected from wind and sun. Guests will use this space, with its generous seating and sun cushions, as a comfortable relaxation area. The flybridge overlooking the Sunreef 80 follows the design guidelines of the new sailing range, giving priority to freedom. Big enough for all passengers, as well as the other shared spaces, the flybridge makes it possible to control all the sails as well as the double helm station.
The all-new Sunreef 80 features a unique blend of comfort and performance. The boat is perfectly balanced and offers a smooth sailing experience while remaining a large and luxurious yacht. The yacht has undergone sea trials in the Baltic Sea under various wind and sea conditions and she has proven her pedigree. As she was sailing in the wind with 22 knots of wind, she made 11.6 knots under the mainsail and the genoa. In the wind at nine knots, she reached seven knots under gennaker and main. Its carbon mast and home-made pole contribute to the performance.
