ColourPop What Dreams are Made of 12-Pan Pressed Powder Shadow Palette
What Dreams are Made of
ColourPop What Dreams are Made of 12-Pan Pressed Powder Shadow Palette is a new, limited edition palette that includes one pressed glitter, five pressed pigments, and the remainder are actual eyeshadows. There were three true mattes and three sparkle mattes. The matte eyeshadows were not as powdery as some recent releases, though the more sparkly matte shades had some fallout during application. The shimmers were nice overall as they were smoother and had enough creaminess for good adhesion and not a lot of fallout.
Buh-Bye
Buh-Bye is a light gold with strong, warm undertones and a metallic sheen. The texture felt smooth to the touch, dense but not overly firm or too thick, so it picked up well with a dry brush and applied evenly to bare skin. It had opaque color coverage that stayed on well for eight hours before fading visibly.
Puh-lease
Puh-lease has a translucent base chocked full of small-sized orange and iridescent glitter. It contained plastic (PET) glitter and was not intended for use around the eye area. The texture felt emollient, somewhat wet to the touch, and had decent spreadability and adhesion as a result. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that lasted decently for seven hours with some migration.
Done and Done
Done and Done is a darker peach with muted, warm undertones and a matte finish. The texture was soft, smooth, and more substantial, which gave it a velvety feel and full color coverage in a single layer. It applied evenly and blended out well with little effort. This shade wore nicely for eight hours before fading a bit.
ColourPop Outfit Rememberer Pressed Powder Shadow
Outfit Rememberer
Outfit Rememberer has a light, warmer pink base with pale green-to-gold shifting shimmer that gave it a metallic finish. The texture felt lightly emollient and smooth to the touch while being moderately dense but not overly thick. It had opaque color coverage that stayed on well for eight hours before fading noticeably.
Dear Diary (Lizzie Mcguire)
Dear Diary (Lizzie McGuire) is a bright, yellowy chartreuse with strong, warm undertones and a shiny, metallic finish. It was richly pigmented with a smooth, lightly emollient texture that wasn’t overly dense but wasn’t powdery. It lasted well for eight hours before fading visibly. The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.
ColourPop Outie Pressed Powder Shadow
Outie
Outie is a medium coral with warmer, more orange undertones and peachy-gold shimmer paired with a metallic finish. It was intensely pigmented with a smooth, almost cream-like texture that made it easy to work with. The color showed signs of fading after eight hours of wear.
Uggghhh
Uggghhh is a medium-dark pink with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. The color applied darker than it appeared in the pan. The texture was soft, smooth, and more velvety with light powderiness, but it wasn’t prone to sheering out or having a lot of fallout. It was richly pigmented and wore well for eight hours before fading visibly.
Hello Fabulous
Hello Fabulous is a medium-dark lavender purple with subtle, cooler undertones in its base and warmer flecks of peach and pink sparkle. It had a more loosely-pressed, slightly drier consistency, so there was light fallout during application. It was best applied by pressing and patting it into place and only lightly blending it out to avoid additional fallout. This shade lasted well for eight hours before fading noticeably.
Don’t Freak
Don’t Freak is a bright, chartreuse green with moderate, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single layer, which could be built up to full coverage with less than a second layer. It appeared warmer applied than it did in the pan, though. The texture was slightly thinner and drier, which led to some fallout. It stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading visibly.
Soo Mature
Soo Mature is a brighter, medium-dark coral-orange with warm undertones and flecks of sparkle over a matte finish. The texture was soft, somewhat powdery, and there was a fair amount of fallout from the sparkles as the matte base didn’t give them anything to bind with. It had opaque pigmentation that showed signs of wear after eight hours.
Outfit Repeater
Outfit Repeater is a deeper fuchsia pink with subtle, cool undertones and flecks of sparkle over a matte finish. Those sparkles did not bind with the underlying color, so they mainly resulted in fallout during application and very few that adhered. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation that wore decently for eight hours before fading noticeably.
Digital Bean
Digital Bean is a medium purple with warmer, pink undertones and flecks of sparkle throughout a matte base. The texture was somewhat powdery, though I’d say less powdery than more recent releases from the brand, so it had light fallout during application but proved to be blendable (the latter being more important!). It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation that lasted for eight hours.
