ColourPop The Mandalorian 9-Pan Pressed Powder Palette is the brand’s newest Star Wars tie-in collaboration. The palette included five matte eyeshadows with four shimmery shades, and it ran slightly cooler-toned overall–relative to the plethora of very warm-toned palettes that exist. One of the matte shades–Nevarro Sand–was too powdery, while one shimmer–Beskar Steel–was a little drier to work with, but the eyeshadows were semi-opaque to opaque in coverage, blendable, and easy enough to use.
Beskar Steel is a pale silver with contrasting, pale gold shimmer that gave it more of a pewter-like hue with a more frosted finish. The texture felt slightly drier and more loosely-pressed in the pan, so there was light fallout during application. It had semi-opaque color payoff that stayed on nicely for seven and a half hours before fading a bit.
Nevarro Sand is a bright, yellowy-orange with strong, warm undertones and a matte finish. The consistency was moderately powdery, so you’ll want to use a light hand to avoid fallout. It had opaque color payoff but was more prone to sheering out to semi-opaque coverage without a good primer underneath. This shade wore well for eight hours before fading noticeably.
Bantha Tracks is a light, peachy brown with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had opaque color coverage that adhered evenly to bare skin and blended out well along the edges without losing its intensity. The texture was soft, smooth, and a little powdery in the pan but not prone to fallout. It lasted well for eight hours before fading visibly.
Imperial Credit is a darker pewter with subtle, warm undertones and a frosted finish. The texture was soft, slightly drier and not as smooth-looking as most of the brand’s shimmers without being used with a dampened brush. It had opaque color payoff that stayed on well for eight hours before fading noticeably.
Clan of Two
Clan of Two is a rich, reddish-plum base with green-to-blue shifting pearl and a metallic sheen. The eyeshadow was intensely pigmented where a little went a very long way, likely due to the consistency being very smooth, lightly emollient but had great adhesion to bare skin with a dry brush. It wore well for eight hours before fading a bit.
Tatooine Glimmer is a darker, chocolatly brown with moderate, warm undertones and faint sparkle over a metallic sheen. It was richly pigmented with a smooth, almost cream-like texture that was soft without being too loosely-pressed into the pan. This shade lasted nicely for eight hours before fading visibly.
Mythosaur is a medium taupe-brown with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. The consistency was smooth, almost velvety and blendable, without being too powdery nor too firmly-pressed into the pan. The eyeshadow had opaque color coverage that stayed on well for eight hours before showing signs of fading.
This is the Way
This is the Way is a darker, grayish-taupe with muted, warm olive undertones and a matte finish. It had mostly opaque, buildable pigmentation paired with a thinner, slightly stiff texture that could have been more blendable and easier to pick up with a dry brush. It wore decently for seven and a half hours before fading visibly.
Creed is a deep brown with neutral-to-cool undertones and a matte finish. The texture was slightly powdery in the pan, so I’d use a lighter hand just to be sure of no fallout, but it had full color payoff that remained blendable on bare skin. It lasted well for eight and a half hours before fading a bit.
