ColourPop Maleficent & Hades Lux Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches

Maleficent

Colour Pop Maleficent Lux Lipstick is a bright, medium berry with cool undertones and a cream finish. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that was buildable to full coverage with a full, second layer. The texture was lightweight, creamy, and felt more slippery than most shades in the range, which gave it a thinner, slightly translucent look on my lips. It applied evenly and didn’t emphasize the natural texture of my lips. This shade lasted nicely for six hours, left a fuchsia stain behind, and was lightly moisturizing over time.

Hades

Colour Pop Hades Lux Lipstick is a bright, medium peach with soft, warm undertones and a cream finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single layer, which applied fairly evenly but had some product that sank into my lip lines from the get-go. The settling worsened over time slightly–not to the point where it was showing off every lip line by any means, but it could have been more flattering on from start to finish. The texture was lightweight, creamy without being too emollient, and comfortable to apply and to wear. It wore well for four and a half hours and felt lightly hydrating over time.
