Couple of Misfits
ColourPop Couple of Misfits Lux Gloss Kit includes three sheer and sparkly glosses that range from clear in their base to red-tinted. They were marketed as sheer (or clear, as they case may be), which was nice to see, and they have a plusher, more gel-cream feel that made them a comfortable, smoothing gloss that was very hydrating to wear.
Hermey is a near-transparent base that leaned slightly silvery-white with lavender and silver sparkle throughout its glossy finish. It had sheer coverage, as marketed (they described it as being “clear” with sparkle), that applied evenly across my lips and didn’t emphasize my lip texture or my lip lines. The gloss had a smooth, lightweight feel that was plush, more gel-like, and thicker without being overly thick. It lasted well for two and a half hours but was very moisturizing over time.
Misfit Elephant is a light, peachy-coral with multi-colored sparkles throughout a high-shine, glossy finish. It had sheer to semi-sheer color coverage, as marketed, that applied comfortably across my lips while smoothing out my lip lines. The texture was lightweight, non-sticky, and plush without being overly thick. It wore well for three hours and was very hydrating over time.
Dolly is a soft, light-medium pinky-red with subtle, warm undertones and barely-there sparkle throughout. It had sheer to semi-sheer color coverage, which was as described, paired with a gel-cream feel that was thicker but not heavy. The product applied evenly across my lips, while the formula smoothed out a lot of my lip lines. It stayed on nicely for three and a half hours and felt moisturizing while worn.
