ColourPop Cafe de Paris & Cherry Liqueur Fresh Kiss Lip Lacquers

Café de Paris

ColourPop Café de Paris Fresh Kiss Lip Lacquer is a deep burgundy with strong, cool undertones–leaning pinker rather than browner–with a glossy, cream finish. It had semi-opaque color payoff in a single layer, which did not apply as evenly as desired. It seemed less even on my bottom lip than the top lip, but I think that could have just been an illusion based on lighting/angle. The texture was smooth, spreadable, and creamy without tackiness, so it felt like others in the range, but it just didn’t have the evenness desired. I’d use a lip liner underneath it, which should help with the unevenness of the gloss. On the upside, it wasn’t streaky and didn’t settle into my lip lines noticeably, so it gave the illusion of smoother, plumper-looking lips. It wore well for five hours and looked more even after two hours of wear, while the formula was incredibly hydrating to wear.

Cherry Liqueur

ColourPop Cherry Liqueur Fresh Kiss Lip Lacquer is a darker, reddish-brown with moderate, warm undertones and a glossy, cream finish. The texture was lightweight, smooth, and creamy without being overly thick and had no tackiness. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that applied fairly evenly, but this shade was prone to settling into my lip lines, which I did not find as prevalent in other shades. It wore well for four hours and was moisturizing over time.
