ColourPop Big Poppy Eyeshadow Palette

Big Poppy

ColourPop Big Poppy 9-Pan Pressed Powder Palette is a new, all-matte eyeshadow palette that revolved around warmer, more orange-leaning shades. The eyeshadows were mostly opaque to opaque in coverage, blendable and easy to work with, and had good longevity. The bigger “downside” was that some shades were more powdery, so there was light fallout during application, but they were typically more substantial, so they remained pigmented and still went on evenly.

Day Tripper

Day Tripper is a light-medium peach with moderate, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation with a soft, moderately powdery texture that had some fallout during application, so it was better to use earlier on in a look as it could cause other shades to lighten and lose some warmth. The color showed signs of fading after seven and a half hours of wear.

Mellow

Mellow is a medium peach with strong, warm orange undertones and a matte finish. It had rich color coverage in a single layer, which applied well to bare skin and blended out nicely without losing its intensity. The texture was more velvety and substantial, which helped it have better adhesion. It wore well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Cali Love

Cali Love is a medium-dark orange with moderate, warm undertones and a matte finish. The texture was smooth, velvety, and more substantial with some powderiness, but it wasn’t prone to fallout nor sheering out too readily. It had opaque color coverage that applied evenly and lasted nicely for eight hours before fading visibly.

Floral Out

Floral Out is a brighter, medium-dark orange with moderate, warm undertones and a matte finish. The texture was less powdery than most of the shades in the palette, which made it more foolproof to pick up. It had opaque color payoff that applied well and blended out without difficult. It stayed on well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Get Around

Get Around is a bright, medium orange with moderate, warm undertones and a matte finish. The consistency seemed slightly thinner and a touch drier, which resulted in this shade being more prone to reacting to any natural oils/tackiness on the skin. It had mostly opaque, buildable pigmentation with a fairly blendable texture, but it was a shade better over dry skin or over a primer. It wore well for eight hours before fading a bit.

Dig It

Dig It is a medium-dark, orange-brown with warm undertones and a matte finish. The eyeshadow had rich pigmentation in a single layer, which applied well to bare skin and diffused well along the edges. The texture was soft, lightly powdery but blendable and had minimal fallout. It lasted well for eight hours before fading visibly.

Flower Power

Flower Power is a deeper, reddish-copper with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. The texture was soft, smooth, and blendable with light powderiness but not to the point where it resulted in fallout. It had opaque color coverage that blended out with ease. This shade stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading a bit.

Groovin’

Groovin’ is a medium-dark, rusty brown with warm, red undertones and a matte finish. It had opaque pigmentation with a soft, lightly powdery texture that yielded even coverage that diffused well along the edges but didn’t lose its intensity. This shade showed signs of fading after eight hours of wear.

Wild Thing

Wild Thing is a deep, reddish-brown with neutral-to-cool undertones and a matte finish. The consistency was slightly powdery in the pan but applied well and blended out readily without being prone to fallout or sheering out too easily. It had full opacity that wore well for eight hours before fading noticeably.
