Charlotte Tilbury Patsy Red & Viva La Vergara Matte Revolution Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
Patsy Red
Charlotte Tilbury Patsy Red Matte Revolution Lipstick is a muted, medium-dark red with subtle, cool undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had medium pigmentation that was buildable to semi-opaque coverage (two layers), and the formula was described as buildable, so this was as marketed. The lipstick had a smooth, velvety consistency that didn’t feel emollient but glided across my lips nonetheless. It applied evenly, didn’t emphasize my lip lines or lip texture, and was fairly comfortable to wear. The color lasted nicely for five hours, left a faint stain behind, and was non-drying.
Viva La Vergara
Charlotte Tilbury Viva La Vergara Matte Revolution Lipstick is a muted, medium-dark plum with warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single layer, though it was supposed to be buildable, which applied evenly and smoothly across my lips without dragging. The consistency was lightweight, thin without being clingy, and sat well on my lips without emphasizing any texture. It wore well for five hours and was neither drying nor hydrating on me.
