Chanel Invincible (73) Rouge Allure Laque (2020) is a bright, medium red with neutral-to-warm undertones and a natural sheen. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single layer, which easily built up to full coverage with a second layer. This particular shade had the highest coverage, best application, and longest wear out of the line-up of 20 shades.
The consistency started off more lightweight, like a liquid balm, as it was emollient, thin, and spreadable, and then developed into something more gel-like, so it was thicker and lightly tacky. It was still flexible and very lightweight, though. It stayed on nicely for almost eight hours before wearing down to more of a stain, and the formula itself was very moisturizing and comfortable to wear all day.
Chanel Experimente (74) Rouge Allure Laque (2020) is a medium-dark plum with warmer undertones and a natural sheen. It had medium color payoff in one layer, which could be built up to semi-opaque coverage with a second layer. The color itself applied evenly and easily across my lips, but it was a little more prone to catching on imperfections on my lips.
The liquid lipstick felt more like a liquid balm initially, as it was thin, spreadable, and felt emollient but not watery. It developed into a gel-like consistency that was on the thinner side and had light tackiness. It wore well for five hours and felt very hydrating.
