Chanel Blurry Blue (324) Eyeshadow Quad Review & Swatches

Blurry Blue (324)

Chanel Blurry Blue (324) Les 4 Ombres Multi-Effect Quadra Eyeshadow is a new, permanent (or so it seems, as it is not listed as limited edition on the brand’s website) featuring a smokier set of shades–two taupes, a deep (but faded) blue, and mid-depth gray. For me, I could see this as an anchor palette–one that will complement a lot of other palettes (particularly your lighter or more shimmery palettes)–but runs together a lot on its own. The pigmentation, blendability, and ease of use was good across the board, though.

Blurry Blue #1

Blurry Blue #1 is a muted, medium taupe with neutral undertones and a matte finish. It had opaque color coverage with a soft, silky texture that wasn’t too softly nor too firmly pressed in the pan. The eyeshadow applied well to bare skin and blended out easily. It stayed on well for seven and a half hours on me before fading.

Blurry Blue #2

Blurry Blue #2 is a medium-dark gray with neutral undertones and a mostly matte finish. The color payoff was opaque in one layer, while the consistency was smooth, silky, and blendable without being powdery. It applied well and lasted nicely for eight hours on me before I noticed any fading.

Blurry Blue #3

Blurry Blue #3 is a deep, faded blue-teal with subtle, cool undertones and a matte finish. The pigmentation was fantastic, while the texture felt smooth and silky to the touch without being powdery (nor was it too firmly pressed in the pan). The eyeshadow blended out fairly well, but it seemed to darken a bit unevenly in places (I’d recommend using a primer with it). It wore well for eight hours on me before it started to wear down.

Blurry Blue #4

Blurry Blue #4 is a soft, grayish taupe with neutral undertones and a matte finish. The color coverage was opaque in one pass, which adhered evenly and blended out easily on my skin. The texture was smooth, silky, and finely-milled without being powdery or dusty in the pan. It stayed on well for seven and a half hours on me before fading noticeably.
