2019 has been the year of the comeback with revivals from Skrillex, Dog Blood, Flume, and Madeon, and Cashmere Cat is the latest artist to join that list. Today, Cashy has announced the title of his forthcoming album Princess Catgirl. The feline superhero will serve as the new “face” of Cashmere Cat’s music. Princess Catgirl is the direct the follow-up to Cashy’s 2017 debut album 9, which featured Ariana Grande, The Weekend, Camila Cabello, Selena Gomez, and Tory Lanez. Cashmere Cat will kick off Princess Catgirl with its first single “Emotions,” out this Friday, August 9th.
i guess you could say i was scared.. so i created princess catgirl to be the face of my music. she makes me feel safe. our first song “EMOTIONS” out august 9 👩💻
i’ve made a new album! it’s called PRINCESS CATGIRL. this is a picture of me and her. she’s very cute and powerful. i’ve always been shy – since the beginning of being an artist i would hide my face, not want to do interviews, hide behind other artists…… pic.twitter.com/q2Gp15JpaW
