From heritage exhibitioners to the precious stones and related industries, Baselworld is the world’s foremost show for luxury watches and jewelry pieces with contemporary design. During March 21st to 26th, this design exhibition is an annual deluge of new modern watches by luxury brands. Interconnecting to the industry’s top brands, Baselworld is the exclusive platform to an eagerly curious international audience and everyone who wants to know what the latest trends. This year edition will be markedly different from past shows and see the halls absent of significant brands like Omega, Breguet, Blancpain, Hamilton, Longines, and Tissot.
Some biggest names, such as Rolex and Patek Philippe will still be in attendance in Baselworld 2019. As will the LVMH Group with Hublot, TAG Hauer, and Zenith will be showing off their new timepieces with a unique design.
Baselworld comprised more than 2000 exhibitors and will match with SIHH in 2020 where the two major timepieces events will take place one after the other, making it easier for visitors attending both exhibitions.

Rolex has also improved its production of amagnetic parts and updating the Milgauss would make a lot of sense. Finally, this luxury watch has been heavily advertised by the brand recently, which could be a sign of things to come.
Looking at past models by Tudor, there are few watches that sport a triangular index at 9 o’clock, like the Tudor Prince OsyterDate Submariner ref. 79090, a watch produced by the brand in 1989. Tudor will reintroduce at Baselworld the Submariner Date in the collection, not as a true re-edition but as a watch with some elements inspired by the ref. 79090 – two watches with a matching bezel and printed indexes.
While the case and the bezel could be retained, we can expect some other drastic changes dial-side by Tudor. The famous Black Bay Date is slightly different: this version should be equipped with the in-house MT5612 caliber.
Luxury goods group LVMH’s watch brands will be present at the next edition of the Baselworld, the outgoing head of its watch division told CNN Money Switzerland, adding the world’s biggest trade show needs to make changes in 2020.
