White Claw is too popular for its own good…
The hard seltzer brand has officially confirmed a nationwide shortage across the United States, as supply simply can’t keep up with demand. The insane popularity of the alcoholic beverage is far beyond what the company could have anticipated.
Sanjiv Gajiwala, White Claw’s senior vice president of marketing spoke to CNN Business about the shortage. “We are working around the clock to increase supply given the rapid growth in consumer demand,” he said. “White Claw has accelerated faster than anyone could have predicted.”
White Claw sales have skyrocketed year over year, growing 283% to $327.7 million in July. Over the week of July 4 alone, the brand saw a 200% increase, according to Nielsen data.
Claw is the law… until it runs out.
